Lisa Ann Russell will soon no longer be Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s wife. Yes my friends, another celebrity divorce is in the midst. Today, June 3rd, 2010 it was announced that Lisa and Mark-Paul will be divorcing after almost fourteen years together. Read more about the split and see photos here.
Meet Lisa Ann Russell, best known for being Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s wife. Russell was born in Sterling, Illinois on March 21st 1972. After living in the Midwest, Russell eventually moved out to California to pursue a career in modeling. With Russell’s picture perfect face, her congeniality led her to a Revlon contract.
After modeling for some time, Lisa tried out for various acting roles. However it was in 1993 when she met the man of her dreams. Lisa first met Mark-Paul in 1993 when she made a guest appearance on Saved by the Bell, The College Years. Three years later (in 1996), the picture perfect couple wed in Maui, Hawaii. They then went on to have two young children Michael Charles, 6, and Ava Lorenn, 4.
So what caused the devastating split of a couple that has been together for almost fourteen years? Well it is being rumored that Russell has been enjoying the night life quite frequently while Gosselaar stays home with the kiddies. Was she out tramping around or doing the freak nasty behind her hubby’s back? No additional details have been released, however a source told NY Daily News, “He’s taking it very hard. This has been going on for quite some time now.” Despite the breakup, Mark-Paul’s rep told People magazine, “They both remain focused on their family and are jointly committed to their children.”
How freakin’ sad. Let’s hope that Lisa Ann Russell and Mark-Paul are able to keep this a drama-free split. Come on, do it for the kids, guys!
