Gail Posner

What a bizarre story where dogs inherit mansion and a $3 million trust fund. Heiress Gail Posner left her mansion and a considerable part of her legacy to her dogs.

One of Posner’s dogs is named Conchita. Oddly, Posner’s dogs got more than her only living son, Carl Carr. He is disputing the will however. He claims that his mother was drugged by her aides in an effort to gain control of her fortune.

She did appear to have a bizarre relationship with her dog Conchita, who is ‘one of the world’s most spoiled dogs.’ Reports are that Conchita had her own staff, wardrobe and diamond jewelry. Conchita also had her own car, which was a gold Escalade. Of course, she and her sisters had weekly puppy spa appointments. Yes, that sound pretty crazy to me.

To keep the crazy going, Posner was close to launching a match-your-pet clothing line that would allow pets and owners to buy matching outfits.

She changed her will in 2008. However, her son still got $1 million, which is nothing to sneeze at.

What do you think? Should her son, Carl Carr contest the will? Should he win? Do dogs really need an $8.3 million mansion or a $3 million trust fund? Actually, does anybody need that? There are so many better things that money could be doing.
