Val Kilmer To Convert Pecos River Ranch To Bed And Breakfast But Residents Are Complaining - The infamous Tombstone star has recently attempting to convert his 6,000 acre ranch into a bed and breakfast in the Santa Fe, New Mexico area.  This is turning out to be harder than he thought, as residents are complaining about previous comments made from the actor.  The comments these residents are complaining about are when Val Kilmer said in an interview in 2003 to “Rolling Stone Magazine”, that his neighbor was “the homicide capital of the Southwest” and “80 percent of the people in my county are drunk.”
Kilmer apparently has also make some unwelcome comments about Vietnam Veterans in the past as well.  The residents in the area did not think that was cool at all and are making noise in regards to Kilmer’s attempt to create bed and breakfast business.  The neighbors are demanding an apology from Kilmer.   They said his awesome role as “Doc Holiday” in the movie “Tombstone” is not enough to let him off the hook, and he is no longer their “Huckleberry”.   Ok, that last sentence was a joke, but seriously Kilmer needs to win the hearts and minds of the residents or else it might hurt his business.
The actor says that he was misquoted and even has the ACLU behind him in this matter.   Kilmer is expected to attend a meeting on Wednesday to have the permit for the Pecos Ranch request considered
