Isley Brother Died

Marvin Isley, bass player with the legendary Isley Brothers band, died on Sunday, June 6, in Chicago from complications caused by diabetes. The illness had forced the musician into retirement in the mid ’90s and had to have both legs amputated.

Marvin joined the already successful Isley Brothers in 1973 for their platinum 3+3 album and scored several hits through the ’70s and ’80s.

The Isley Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992.
