Iliza Shlesinger started off slow but has finale made it big as Comedy Central gave her the chance to have her own half-hour special in which she performed last night.
Shlesinger won the Last Comic Standing show on NBC. She is the first female and also the youngest winner of the show. She was part of the final three with Jeff Dye and Marcus. Dye was the first eliminated among the three so the finale was between Iliza, who killed every time she performed, and Marcus. Finally it was announced that Shlesinger won.
The Last Comic Standing immediately put the funny woman in the spotlight but she says that it isn’t easy to be a good standup comedian.
Iliza Vie Shlesinger, born on February 22, 1983, is from Dallas, Texas, where she attended Greenhill School and participated on the school’s Improv Team. She is a graduate of Emerson College. She was one of the most popular members of the “Whiteboy Comedy” group of stand-up comedians in Los Angeles which brought her to the stage at the Improv in Hollywood.
