The father was apparently home and lying on a couch at the home near 43rd Avenue and Greenway Road. About 7:40 a.m., the boy made his way to the unfenced pool, where a toy truck was near the shallow end, according to Phoenix fire officials. The boy could have been in the pool for 30 minutes or more.
The father of the child realized the toddler was nowhere to be found, and discovered the boy in the pool, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
