Stephanie Courtney

Stephanie Courtney has acted in movies and TV shows, but you probably know her best as Flo from the Progressive Insurance commercials. Her cheerful (or some would say, irritating) persona has put her on the map, with audiences either loving her or hating her. There’s no in between, it seems.

According to the Daily Beast, Flo has become the recognizable mascot on television, right up there with the Pillsbury doughboy. She’s even been spotted at a few parties! But when she’s not playing Flo, Courtney is a stand-up comedian and member of the LA comedy troupe, The Groundlings.
She has also appeared on the shows Mad Men and United States of Tara, in addition to the movies The Heartbreak Kid and Blades of Glory.

Recently, there was an effort going on to find another Progressive spokesperson to appear in commercials with Courtney, so she went across the country to check out auditions.
