Joe Mcginniss

There goes Sarah Palin's neighborhood.

The Tea Party darling learned Monday she was living next door - a distance of about 15 feet - to her nemesis Joe McGinniss, a no-holds barred author who is writing an expose about her.

Palin made the discovery after dispatching her husband Todd to "introduce himself to the stranger who was peering in" from her neighbor's deck in Wasilla, Alaska.

"He's rented the place for the next five months or so," Palin wrote on Facebook. "He moved up all the way from Massachusetts to live right next to us - while he writes a book about me."

Palin said she expects it to be "a doozy."

"Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?," she wrote.

Piper Palin is the former GOP vice presidential candidate's 9-year-old daughter.

McGinniss, the author of "Fatal Vision" and "The Selling of the President," did not return a call for comment. But he's been trying hard to get Palin to dish.

Last year, McGinniss was outbid when he offered to pay $59,999 to dine with Palin at a charity auction.

After that, McGinniss got his summer rental in Wasilla and has been interviewing the locals about their most famous resident.

Palin says she might try to sweeten up McGinniss with some "homemade blueberry pie tomorrow so he'll know how friendly Alaskans are."
Just to be on the safe side, Palin also has a Plan B.

"You know what they say about 'fences make for good neighbors?' Well, we'll get started on that tall fence tomorrow," she wrote.
