Tim Sylvia vs Mariusz Pudzianowski

Last night saw the Moosin God of Martial Arts show in Worcester, Mass., but the main event between Tim Sylvia and Mariusz Pudzianowski was quickly over, only 1:43 into the second round. It was all too much for the former World’s Strongest Man as he was pinned down by former UFC champ Tim Sylvia, and Pudzianowski tapped out after receiving a string of hits.

Sylvia had lost four out of five bouts in the previous two years, but this was his second consecutive win, leading him to say, “I’m back now”, according to Sergio Non on USA Today. However he still doesn’t appear as he did in his prime weighing in at a rather too sturdy 305 pounds.

Pudzianowski certainly has the power and strength but seems to lack the stamina. In his last fight he labored to a decision win as he appeared to lose steam and this clearly happened again, leading to his submission.

Another fight on the Moosin card was the women’s match between Roxanne Modafferi and Tara LaRosa which Modafferi won on a unanimous decision. What did you think of Sylvia vs Pudzianowski? We’d be interested in hearing your views so why not let us know
