According to the Styleite.com, Prince Andrew's ex-wife is "homeless, destitute and — despite owing thousands to various banks —just can’t put down the Amex." Apparently she also owns 5 cell phones and recently opened up a charge account at a Neiman Marcus in Dallas, even though she can't pay for the $1,300 chair she put on the account.
Huh?
The Daily Mail says that Fergie's New York company, Hartmoor, went under last year because of large debts. The red head, age 50, also has unpaid bills and personal accounts, and is even being sued for trying to stop the publication of a book by a man named Chris Rogers. (The book is said to detail a trip Fergie made with Rogers to a Turkish orphanage two years ago.)
Bottom line? She's "virtually broke," says the Daily Mail.
It's hard to get a straight answer out of these gossip rags, but I'm going to guess Fergie is not literally homeless. It does sound, though, like she's under some financial strain and isn't being conscientious about where and how she's spending.
Styleite.com says Fergie claims to have some projects in the works, so hopefully the rumor mill will slow down and she will climb out of debt soon! It is true that people who have weight problems also often have financial woes as well. Fergie famously lost weight and was the Weight Watchers spokesperson for a period of time. So maybe she's battling another vice here.
